About Us
Hi! I'm Ken Parker. Years ago, in my effort to help those I worked with as a lay (unpaid) minister, I started researching the pornography issue. I looked online. I visited with therapists and agencies. I knew, of course, that pornography was an old problem. Pretty much everyone’s aware of its existence and probably most people have had some kind of exposure to pornography in their growing up years. But, two things began to amaze me. First, I was "blown away" by the scope of today’s pornography problem. I really had no idea how fast it has been growing in the last few years. Because of the internet, its use is growing at an alarming rate. Porn sites are proliferating. I discovered why: pornography is big business, really big business. Internet pornographers, those who are in the business of providing porn, make huge profits—all at the expense of their victims. They prowl on the innocent to make money. Second, I was surprised to find that there was not much "out there" in the way of real help in fighting pornography. That surprised me. I figured that, with a little research, I could find the step-by-step procedure to overcoming porn. I would pass it on to those I was working with, and voila! – success! No more problem. Instead, what I found were tools that were only marginally helpful. The road back was long and difficult. The success rate was low. Eventually, I put together a training manual for church leaders. It was designed to help them to help their people overcome porn addiction. That was my beginning. It was a start. We had limited success. As luck would have it, new information, powerful information, started to "find me." When I was no longer looking for it, I actually found what I had been looking for. I found real solutions for my friends and associates. Though I honestly feel that the single greatest help in overcoming pornography is reliance upon God and the power of the atonement of Jesus Christ, this site focuses on the other practical things I’ve learned to help in overcoming it, regardless of religious feelings or affiliation. If you’re interested in the spiritual side, feel free to
