Ending Masturbation Addiction

Finally! You can recover from your masturbation addiction with the right understanding, tools and techniques now available to you. Let’s get started.

We will define masturbation as the self-centered stimulation of one’s own sex organs for the purpose of sexual arousal. We will define masturbation addiction as habitual, compulsive masturbation that regularly interrupts life’s normal activities.

Some doctors and therapists will argue that regular masturbation is fine and even healthy. However, you must understand that there is no conclusive scientific evidence to support their opinions. And there is much evidence that shows that it is not healthy.

Biologically, masturbation is not necessary. Quite naturally the male system relieves itself of excessive spermatic fluid through what is called nocturnal emissions or wet dreams. (Nocturnal emissions are not masturbation.) In females the natural menstrual flow cleanses the womb monthly.

Perhaps the most common argument in favor of masturbation is that it’s necessary, or at least useful, to help release the stresses and pressures of life. However, there are many ways to relieve stress and reduce tension that are more positive, such as engaging in physical activity or reading a good book.

Physically, masturbation is not harmful unless carried to an extreme. When carried to an extreme, it can disrupt your body chemistry, and alter normal psychological processes. It can also be very painful and physically damage your body.

Masturbation can contribute to emotional stress and depression. It can cause a loss of self respect, proper focus and confidence. You have undoubtedly felt these feelings, or you would not be here.

The key to stopping masturbation is thinking and dwelling on other things.
